I’m Officially Running!
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends. Don and I had much of the family here, and it was an opportunity to reflect on our many blessings.

November has been a busy month… here is some of the latest news.

I’m Officially Running!

First, I officially filed the papers to seek another term serving you in Austin. I’m grateful to be off and running with support from the overwhelming majority of my local precinct chairs, plus growing conservative endorsements.Speaking of…
Endorsed by National Pro-Life Organization Susan B. Anthony List

I’m truly honored to have earned this endorsement, announced last week just before Thanksgiving:

“Rep. Stephanie Klick is a leading champion for life in the Texas Legislature. She has fought tirelessly to stop late-term abortion and live-dismemberment abortions when unborn babies can feel pain, as well as spearheading protections for babies born alive in failed abortions,” said the Honorable Marilyn Musgrave, SBA List’s vice president of government affairs. “This session Rep. Klick sponsored several major pro-life bills – all signed into law by Gov. Greg Abbott – to protect unborn children with beating hearts, safeguard women against the urgent public health threat of mail-order abortion drugs, and protect babies throughout pregnancy should Roe v. Wade be reversed. The Heartbeat Act alone has saved as many as 10,000 lives to date. In addition, she authored a budget amendment to raise funding for the state’s life-affirming Alternatives to Abortion program to $100 million per year.

“Rep. Klick’s efforts have been instrumental in making Texas one of the nation’s most protective states for women and children. We are honored to have her as a member of our Pro-Life Women’s Caucus and to endorse her for re-election.”

Named “Faith and Family Champion” by Texas Values

I was named a “Faith and Family Champion” for my work in the recently concluded legislative session. Whether fighting to keep boys who claim to be girls out of girls sports, stopping government from closing down houses of worship, or any other threat to our values, I am ready to continue the fight next session in Austin.Joined Over 1,200 Pro-Life Advocates at the “Council for Life” Luncheon

On Wednesday, November 17, my friend Lisa Luby Ryan invited me to join her at the 20th Anniversary Luncheon of Council for Life. By ministering and offering hands on support, this wonderful organization provides those facing an unplanned pregnancy with the opportunity to make a life-affirming choice.  Funds raised from this luncheon support numerous organizations on the front lines, including Tarrant County-based organizations Mid-Cities Women’s Clinic, Pregnancy Help 4U, and Pregnancy Lifeline. Keynote Speaker Dr. Ben Carson shared his inspirational story.

Rep. Shelby Slawson and I were privileged to be among a group of legislators honored for having a leadership role in passing the Texas Heartbeat bill, which has already saved thousands of unborn children here in Texas.Have a great week!
